Megalomaniac Winery

3930 Cherry Ave.Vineland, ON

Resting on the highest point of the southern section of the Niagara Escarpment, Megalomaniac Winery offers extraordinary views of Lake Ontario, the Toronto and Niagara Falls Skylines, and of course exceptional wines! Megalomaniac wine is known for its full-bodied juicy acidity courtesy of the unique fruit grown in the Niagara region.

Megalomaniac is not only bold in taste but in the name. Wondering where this unique winery got its name? This is the story given on the back of each bottle:

“What’s in the name? I originally wanted to christen these wines in my name, John Howard, …and then my good friends accused me of being yet another “[profanity withheld] megalomaniac”.  Regrettably, the name stuck.

Megalomaniac originally started as a retirement project by John Howard to raise funds for the Kid’s Health Links Foundation. But after receiving a fast and high demand for the original vintage, Howard decided to expand. Now, guests can get a tour and tasting at the grounds with a reservation or enjoy wine and charcuterie on the seasonal patio.

Whichever you choose to do, Megalomaniac Winery is the perfect place to go to revel in distinct wines and Canadian views. With cabinetry made from Canadian wood, maple leaf trees surrounding the perimeter, and quirky designs, Megalomaniac Winery is a truly eccentric Canadian winery!
